PEM hydrogen-on-demand, fitted to the engine you already run.
The Energy Division fits hydrogen-on-demand systems to petrol and diesel vehicles in service today, reducing fuel use and tailpipe emissions without replacing the vehicle. RAMA is the authorised distribution partner for Ethiopia and Kenya.
Generated as the engine runs, never stored.
A compact unit generates hydrogen on demand from distilled water and introduces it into the engine's air intake, improving combustion. An intelligent controller connected to the vehicle's OBD diagnostic port manages dosing in real time.
The systems are manufactured by SENZA Hydrogen (Guangzhou, established 2017). RAMA is the authorised distribution partner for Ethiopia and Kenya, and carries full local accountability for every vehicle it fits.
This is a bridge measure for the fleet already on the road, complementary to electrification rather than a substitute for it.
- Distilled water only — no caustic electrolyte
- No hydrogen stored on the vehicle — generated and consumed as the engine runs
- Fitted to the existing engine, and reversible
- Dosing managed in real time via the OBD port
We lead with measurement, not promises.
Every engagement follows the same sequence, in the same order, on every vehicle.
- 01
Eligibility assessment
The vehicle is screened before anything is supplied. Unsuitable vehicles are declined.
- 02
Baseline measurement
Fuel consumption measured tank-to-tank before installation, under matched driver, load and route.
- 03
Installation
Fitted and commissioned by RAMA's own qualified technicians.
- 04
Post-installation measurement
The identical route repeated under matched conditions.
- 05
Durability re-measurement
Repeated over subsequent weeks to confirm the saving persists.
- 06
Warranty and support
Parts held locally in Addis Ababa; servicing and client training provided.
One vehicle, one controlled test, one published figure.
In RAMA's own controlled test on a diesel Hyundai Starex — tank-to-tank, matched driver, load and route — the vehicle improved from 7.0 to 8.0 km/L: a measured fuel saving of 12.5%.
We publish the figure we measured ourselves, not the higher numbers some operators report. Results vary by vehicle, condition and driving pattern, and we would rather a customer be surprised upward than down.
This is a fuel consumption measurement taken by RAMA under its own test conditions on one vehicle. It is not a certified or independently audited figure, and it is not a guarantee of the result on any other vehicle. Your own baseline and post-installation measurements are taken on your own vehicles before any commitment.

- A functioning OBD port
- Car units: engines up to 7.0 litres
- Truck units: engines up to 16.0 litres
Not eligible

What the marks cover — and what they do not.
The manufacturer's units hold laboratory electromagnetic-compatibility testing: an FCC supplier's declaration of conformity supported by accredited laboratory testing, together with ingress and thermal test reports.
These are safety and electromagnetic marks. They confirm the device is safe to operate. They are not a claim about fuel saving — no standards body anywhere certifies that.
Answerable end to end.
Where RAMA supplies, RAMA is answerable — for assessment, installation, measurement, warranty support and removal. Work is performed by RAMA's own qualified auto technicians. Diagnostic and measurement equipment is owned by RAMA. Spare parts are held locally in Addis Ababa.
Emissions testing is carried out at an accredited centre rather than in-house.

We assess and measure your vehicles before and after, on a small group first, so the decision rests on your own numbers rather than ours.
Supporting documentation — the distribution agreement, manufacturer authorisation, certificates and technical datasheets — is available on request.
